Retro Spooky Hallowe'en

Hallowe'en is just around the corner! So many trees turned color while I was out of town this weekend, it was exciting to drive back home and see all the new colors. I'll be picking up my pumpkin this afternoon and I'm looking forward to decorating my doorway.

If you're planning a Hallowe'en party this year (it is on a Saturday!) check out our Party Tips page for invitation and decorating ideas.

While you're at our store, you'll notice that our wooden Hallowe'en maracas are reduced to just $2.00 a piece right now. They're tons of fun for decorating and merry making.

Old Time Hallowe'en

I was just digging through "the closet" and found a box with a few of Timothy's vintage Hallowe'en collectables and thought I'd take a quick photo to share with all you other vintage Halloween fans.

Ben Cooper Spotlight Devil Masquerade Costume, a metal pumpkin trick or treat bucket, a strange little top hat doffing plastic figurine, a black cat metal rattle noise maker, a candle with inlaid black cat images and a little plastic pumpkin candy container.

Enjoy!

What We Love

What is Party Partners all about?
In the words of the Founder and President, Timothy Siciliano:

Party Partners started in 1998. inspired by my collection of vintage Halloween, holiday and party ephemera. We launched our first line of vintage-inspired Halloween party decorations in 1999. Martha Stewart Catalog featured our "Halloween lanterns" and we were placed on the cover of their catalog for the Halloween season. The product sold out.

Halloween is what really launched our company. Really we're a couple of artist illustrators with a romance for cool retro party products and had no idea how to start a company that manufactures products! So we were like the "Little Red Hen". "Hello, we have this really cool idea to produce vintage Halloween products and who wants to help?"

Everything came together, more or less. And, of course our first foray into manufacturing the product arrived all wrong and we had to replace the light bulbs of 10,000 Halloween lanterns to fulfill the orders...it was nuts and hilarious in retrospect. The 40 ft shipping container full of Halloween lanterns showed up at our studio door. Our mouths dropped! We had no concept as to the volume of 10,000 3-d paper Halloween lanterns! That's ALOT! So, that was the begining.

10 years later, we've been featured in Country Living Magazine, HGTV, Good Housekeeping, Cookie, Parents, Martha Stewart Kids and Weddings, distributed in Japan and Australia. Our simple, whimsical, retro flavor of party goods is missing in the bigger party market, so we fill that niche, especially for kids.

Our products are kid friendly, inexpensive, mostly recyclable (paper and reuseable felt items), fun, and NOT a licensed Disney character etc. You go to Party Express if you need Hannah Montana and you go to partypartnershop.com for silly surprise balls, festive fun fringe, party hats and horns! We offer time tested classic party goods.

Welcome: Red Wagon!

In Madison Park, a beautiful neighborhood on the shore of Lake Washington in Seattle, is one of our newest customers: Red Wagon! Red Wagon opened it's doors just before the 4th of July this year and is a welcome addition to the quaint shops and restaurants that line the main street.

Here's a close up of Red Wagon's party section with our Tassled Tooters and Circus Cone Hats.

Owner Georgina told me that she almost immediately sold through her first box of our Planetary Pomp Hats. I wonder if the premier of the new Harry Potter movie had anything to do with that?

My favorite part of the store: The special "Girl's Room" alcove!
